Why should we work with Red Kinetic?

How long does it take to develop a database?

The more the system needs to do, the longer it takes to build. The average time from start to finish is around 3 months.

How much do databases cost?

It depends how much functionality you need. Databases start at $5,000. Many cost around $10,000. Red Kinetic can provide a free quote.

Is Red Kinetic a one man empire?

Yes to a large extent. However Dave does work closely with a local graphic design firm and a hosting provider.

Does Dave do all the programming?

Yes. It is easier to control the quality of the work and maintain a one-to-one relationship with the client this way.

Are you cheaper than other database firms?

As Red Kinetic does not have the overheads of larger firms you will find the rates are cheaper than most. However you will be paying for the experience and skills Dave brings to your business. If you are on a very limited budget you are probably better working with someone with only a couple of years experience and a rate that reflects this.

Is Red Kinetic a full-time business?

Yes it has been a full-time business for the last 8 years.

Can Dave work onsite for a few days to sort out database problems or build us a system?

Yes. You will need to pay a day-rate. If Red Kinetic hasn't worked with you before this will need to be paid up-front.

What happens if Dave is hit by a bus or Red Kinetic moves to Alaska?

This is a valid question. To put your mind as ease your databases can be deployed on your network or in 3rd party hosting environment ensuring your will always have access to it. You can also request ownership of the source code before quoting. Red Kinetic databases are developed using industry standard technologies and you will be able to find another programmer who can take over if required.

Does Red Kinetic design websites?

Red Kinetic does not design websites, but it does do web programming. Dave can put you in touch with a talented graphic design firm that can design you a fantastic website and Dave can code it for you.
